1. Who we are
Glimpsed Software (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a software development studio operated by Brett Carpenter. Our website is glimpsed.io. For privacy questions, contact build@glimpsed.io.
2. Information we collect
Through this website, we collect only what you voluntarily provide through our contact form:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The content of your message
We do not collect payment information, precise location, device identifiers, or behavioral analytics. We use no tracking pixels, advertising scripts, or fingerprinting.
3. How we use it
Contact-form submissions are used solely to respond to your inquiry and to discuss a potential engagement. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.
4. Our applications
Some Glimpsed Software products are standalone applications — web, mobile, desktop, and browser-extension apps — that require an account. Across these apps we collect only what is needed to provide the service:
- Account identity — the email address you sign in with. Sign-in is passwordless: we email you a single-use link rather than storing a password. An account may hold more than one verified email address you have added.
- Profile information you choose to add — such as a display name or a profile image.
- Content you create in the app — the information you enter to use its features, such as a person you choose to connect with or actions you take within the app.
- A session token stored on your own device to keep you signed in. On the web, desktop, and browser-extension apps this is held locally by your browser or the app itself.
We use this information solely to operate each app’s features for you and the people you connect with, and to deliver notifications you have asked for. We do not use it for advertising, we do not track you across other sites or apps, and we do not sell or rent it. Each app collects only the data its own features require; where an app collects anything beyond the above, its in-app disclosures describe it. You can request deletion of your account and its data at any time at build@glimpsed.io.
5. Third-party services
Form submissions are processed by Web3Forms, which forwards your name, email, and message to us by email. Web3Forms’ own privacy policy governs their handling of that data. We use no analytics or advertising services on this site.
6. Cookies
This website sets no cookies and stores no persistent identifiers in your browser.
7. Data retention
Inquiry emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request and for ordinary record-keeping. Request deletion any time at build@glimpsed.io.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, or to object to its processing. Email build@glimpsed.io to exercise them; we respond within 30 days. We do not sell personal information or engage in cross-context behavioral advertising. California (CCPA) and EEA (GDPR) residents may have additional rights.
9. Children’s privacy
Our website and applications are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect submitted information. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above reflects the last revision.
