Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Glimpsed Software (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a software development studio operated by Brett Carpenter. Our website is glimpsed.io. Our current application is Miss U More. For privacy questions, contact build@glimpsed.io.
2. Information we collect on this website
Through the contact form, we collect only what you voluntarily provide:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The content of your message
We do not collect payment information, precise location, device identifiers, or behavioral analytics. We use no tracking pixels, advertising scripts, or fingerprinting.
3. How we use website information
Contact-form submissions are used solely to respond to your inquiry and to discuss a potential engagement. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.
4. Miss U More
Miss U More is a one-button messaging app. Across its web, mobile, desktop, and browser-extension clients we collect only what is needed to provide the service:
- Account identity — the email address you sign in with. Sign-in is passwordless: we email you a single-use link rather than storing a password. An account may hold more than one verified email address you have added.
- Profile information you choose to add — a display name and, optionally, a profile image or a Gravatar email address.
- Your one connection — the email address of the person you choose to miss. We do not share this with anyone but that person, and only when both of you have named each other.
- Actions you take — Miss U taps you send and receive, and the notifications those taps create.
- Push-notification tokens — device tokens from Apple, Google, or your browser so we can deliver taps to your devices. These are tied to your account and can be removed by signing out or disabling notifications.
- Authentication tokens — session tokens, personal API tokens, and OAuth grants you authorize. These are stored only as hashes or opaque identifiers, depending on the token type.
- Local storage — your theme preference is stored in your browser or app, not on our servers.
We use this information solely to operate Miss U More’s features for you and the one person you connect with, and to deliver the notifications you have asked for. We do not use it for advertising, we do not track you across other sites or apps, and we do not sell or rent it.
5. Account deletion
You can delete your Miss U More account and all associated data at any time from the Account section of the app's Settings, available in the web and Android clients. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. It removes your profile, verified email addresses, connections, notification history, avatar, devices, tokens, and any AI-generated candidate messages and display-name suggestions.
You can also request deletion by emailing build@glimpsed.io. We will confirm the request and delete the account within 30 days.
6. AI-generated flavor text
If you opt in, Miss U More can use a self-hosted local model to generate optional flavor text
for notifications. Every AI-generated message is clearly labeled with the model name (for
example, [AI: llama3.2:1b]) before it is stored or delivered. The model runs on
hardware we control; no third-party AI service receives your data.
7. Third-party services
For the website, form submissions are processed by Web3Forms, which forwards your name, email, and message to us by email. Web3Forms’ own privacy policy governs their handling of that data.
For Miss U More, we use a small number of services only where necessary:
- Resend — to send magic-link sign-in emails and other transactional email.
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — to deliver push notifications to iOS, Android, and web devices.
- Ollama — only when you enable AI flavor text, and only a self-hosted instance we operate.
We use no analytics or advertising services on this site or in the app.
8. Cookies
This website sets no cookies. Miss U More stores your theme preference and session identifier locally in your browser or app, not in server-side cookies.
9. Data retention
Inquiry emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request and for ordinary record-keeping. Miss U More account data is kept as long as your account exists; deleting your account removes it immediately. Magic-link tokens and OAuth authorization codes expire within minutes. Personal API tokens remain active until you revoke them.
10. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, or to object to its processing. You can delete your account in the app's Settings at any time, or email build@glimpsed.io to exercise any other right; we respond within 30 days. We do not sell personal information or engage in cross-context behavioral advertising. California (CCPA) and EEA (GDPR) residents may have additional rights.
11. Children’s privacy
Our website and applications are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect submitted information. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Passwordless sign-in means we never store a password.

We may update this policy. The effective date above reflects the last revision.
